Requirements

BA/BS degree required
Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience in Property, General Liability, Commercial Auto and Workers Compensation
Advanced knowledge of property and casualty underwriting procedures, risk assessment, and practices.
Familiarity with insurance policy language and forms
Solid understanding of data analytics
Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Capable of collaborating effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
Strong work ethic, independence, and dependability

Nice To Haves

Technical insurance designations such as AU or CPCU preferred

Responsibilities

evaluating, selecting, and pricing new and renewal business based on company standards and within granted underwriting authority.
Collaborate with Distribution in the region with focus on territory production and profitability
Travel to key relationships, moderate virtual agency meetings, and attend trade shows as needed
