About The Position

The Lead, Communications will be responsible for developing and implementing corporate communication strategies that support the Missile Solutions Segment. This role involves both internal and external communications, ensuring consistent messaging and brand alignment across all platforms and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders to ensure that segment internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company’s goals and values.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of the internal communications strategy for the organization, including key messaging, communication channels, and tactics
  • Create and deliver internal communications content, including executive memos, email updates, newsletters, intranet content, videos, and presentations
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications, and make recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis
  • Develop and maintain a coordinated content calendar to ensure that internal communications are timely and relevant, and aligned with external communications about the sectors
  • Identify opportunities to promote employee engagement and help foster a positive company culture
  • Manage segment intranet home page, posting news for employees
  • Manage crisis communications, ensuring all employees are informed and up-to-date
  • Manage and maintain the company’s internal communication tools, ensuring they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with the company’s goals and values
  • Execute comprehensive strategic communication plans that engage employees, customers, partners, the media and other key stakeholders.
  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including senior leader announcements, employee newsletters, press releases, talking points for executives, social media posts and presentations.
  • Serve as a media liaison, handling media inquiries and building relationships with industry journalists.
  • Organize and manage internal and external events such as internal town halls, webinars, press conferences, panels, media interviews, and special ceremonies (delivery milestones, facility openings, etc).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a unified approach to messaging and branding.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activities, and regulatory changes that may impact the communications strategy.
  • Some travel as needed.
