About The Position

1. Installation of DAS Equipment: o Installation of DAS Components: Install and configure RFS and JMA Wireless DAS components such as antennas, cables, remote units (RUs), base station controllers (BSC), and other related hardware. o Cable Routing: Run and secure coaxial, fiber optic, and other cables through ceilings, walls, and conduits to connect DAS components. o Antenna Installation: Install antennas at required locations (e.g., rooftops, inside ceilings) ensuring proper alignment and performance. o Equipment Mounting: Mount and secure various DAS equipment on racks or other hardware. 2. System Integration: o System Wiring and Connections: Ensure all components (e.g., base stations, repeaters, antennas, remote units) are properly wired and connected to the network. o Power Supply Installation: Install power systems and backup power solutions (e.g., batteries, generators) for DAS components. o Grounding and Safety: Implement grounding and safety measures for all installed equipment as per industry standards. 3. Testing and Commissioning: o Initial Testing: Test the system after installation to ensure that all components are functioning as expected, including signal strength, connectivity, and performance. o Walk Testing: Perform walk tests within the coverage area to verify signal coverage and performance. Identify any gaps or issues and troubleshoot. o Documentation of Results: Record results from installation, testing, and commissioning activities. Document any deviations from the planned design and report them to the project manager or design team. 4. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: o Address Installation Issues: Identify and resolve any installation issues, such as poor cable connections, equipment malfunctions, or interference. o On-Site Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment during installation or post-installation to ensure minimal downtime. o Collaboration with RF Engineers: Work closely with RF engineers to address issues related to RF performance or signal coverage. 5. Safety Compliance and Standards Adherence: o Adherence to Safety Protocols: Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and local regulations. Follow all safety protocols related to working at heights, electrical systems, and working with RF equipment. o Proper Equipment Handling: Handle all DAS components, tools, and equipment according to manufacturer guidelines to prevent damage and ensure safe operation. 6. Ongoing Maintenance and Support: o Routine Inspections: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of installed systems to ensure long-term performance. o Service and Repairs: Address any service requests or maintenance needs, including equipment upgrades or replacement. o Customer Support: Provide technical support to clients as needed, offering assistance with troubleshooting or minor repairs. 7. Collaboration and Communication: o Team Collaboration: Work closely with the project manager, engineers, and other installers to ensure project timelines are met and installations are completed to specification. o Client Communication: Interact with clients on-site to ensure satisfaction and provide updates as necessary. o Reporting: Provide detailed reports on installation status, issues encountered, and troubleshooting steps.
