About The Position

The Lead Data Insights and Solutions Engineer for Product sits within the Business Intelligence organization and serves as the primary analytics point of contact for Product leadership. This role is responsible for providing high‑quality, trusted insights that support product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and outcome measurements across the Product portfolio. While reporting into Business Intelligence, this role operates in close partnership with Product leaders, acting as a strategic advisor who translates product questions into analytical frameworks, metrics, and insights. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to influence decisions. This role also provides analytical leadership and direction for product‑aligned BI resources, ensuring consistent standards, clarity of requirements, and alignment between product needs and enterprise reporting practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data insights roles, with demonstrated ownership of analytics for a functional or product area
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and delivering Tableau dashboards and analytical views used by Product and leadership stakeholders (Tableau Cloud or Tableau Desktop)
  • Proven experience translating ambiguous product, operational, or strategic questions into well‑defined analytical approaches, KPIs, and success measures
  • Demonstrated experience defining, documenting, and maintaining metric definitions and KPI logic aligned to enterprise BI standards and governance practices
  • Experience designing and delivering dashboards, scorecards, and analytical readouts that support leadership decision‑making, not just reporting
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including partnering closely with Product and senior leaders to clarify priorities, shape analytical scope, and influence decisions through insight and storytelling
  • Ability to proactively analyze trends, anomalies, and changes in product, customer, or operational data and clearly communicate implications and recommendations
  • Experience collaborating with Data Engineering and Business Intelligence teams to ensure data accuracy, scalability, and consistency across reporting outputs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a matrixed environment while maintaining high analytical quality and trust in the data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts, assumptions, and findings to non‑technical audiences

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary analytics partner for Product leadership, supporting multiple Product Managers and product areas
  • Translate product roadmap initiatives and strategic questions into clear analytical approaches, KPIs, and success measures
  • Define analytical scope, requirements, and priorities for Product‑related BI work, ensuring requests are well-formed and actionable before development begins
  • Define, document, and maintain product KPIs and metric definitions in alignment with Business Intelligence standards
  • Design and deliver product‑focused dashboards, scorecards, and analytical readouts used in roadmap planning and reviews
  • Proactively analyze trends, changes, and anomalies in product, customer, and operational data and communicate implications clearly
  • Support product launches and initiatives with pre‑ and post‑analysis, including success measurement and learnings
  • Partner with Data Engineering and BI teams to ensure product data is accurate, reliable, and scalable
  • Ensure consistency and trust in product metrics across Product, BI, and executive reporting
  • Influence product decisions through insight and storytelling, not just reporting
  • Provide analytical guidance, review, and direction to product‑aligned BI developers and analysts, including validation of metric logic, dashboard outputs, and assumptions
  • Escalate data quality, definition, or prioritization issues as needed to protect trust in Product analytics
  • Help build, evolve, and promote an easy‑to-use self‑service analytics environment that enables Product and business users to confidently find, understand, and use trusted data and insights, while maintaining alignment with enterprise standards and definitions
