About The Position

The Lead Facilities Technician at Hyve Solutions Corporation will be responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of the company's facilities. This role involves leading a small team, ensuring a safe and productive work environment, and coordinating with various departments to support business operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant trade (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire suppression systems.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills for maintaining records and communicating.
Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various physical environments.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of facilities technicians, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance reviews.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, including but not limited to office equipment, production machinery, and security systems.
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, installations, and services.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Manage and track facilities-related inventory, including spare parts, tools, and supplies.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.
Respond to facility emergencies and provide immediate solutions to minimize disruption.
Assist in the planning and execution of facility improvement projects, office moves, and space reconfigurations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment for all employees.
