About The Position

The Lead Facilities Technician at Hyve Solutions Corporation will be responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of the company's facilities. This role involves leading a small team, ensuring a safe and productive work environment, and coordinating with various departments to support business operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant trade (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire suppression systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills for maintaining records and communicating.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various physical environments.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of facilities technicians, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, including but not limited to office equipment, production machinery, and security systems.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, installations, and services.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Manage and track facilities-related inventory, including spare parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Respond to facility emergencies and provide immediate solutions to minimize disruption.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of facility improvement projects, office moves, and space reconfigurations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment for all employees.
