Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique. What your day-to-day will be like: Gather, analyze, and document requirements from various teams and work with vendors to build those solutions. Mentor junior engineers in troubleshooting, planning, communication, and more. Lead multi-phased, multi-year projects as a leader on the Network Engineering team. Review, develop, and monitor baseline and growth metrics/indicators to ensure standardized platform growth and resiliency. Contribute to and maintain high-quality documentation about various systems in Hilton's Global Network. How you will collaborate with others: Cross-functionally: You will be joining a team of cross-functional experts in various network technologies. Your expertise will help guide decisions and implementation across many parts of Hilton's network. You support and guide junior engineers to deliver solid, tangible outcomes that directly improve our customers' day-to-day experience. Strong documentation and communication are critical for success in this position. Internally: As a member of the Global Network Engineering team, you will work closely with DevOps and Cloud teams within Hilton to implement highly available, secure, and scalable network infrastructure to support Hilton's core systems. Externally: You will work closely with Hilton partners and vendors to ensure platform stability. Strong vendor management skills are crucial to succeed in this role. What deliverables you will take ownership of: Oversee all infrastructure deployments from the initial design phase to operations for DNS and Load Balancing, particularly BIND9, AVI NSX Load Balancers, and AWS Route53. As a subject matter expert in AVI NSX Load Balancers in conjunction with Hilton vendors, provide guidance and hands-on support for Hilton's global implementation, including AVI Control Plane, Data Plane, and GSLB.
