Hey there! We’re Edelman, and we’re looking for a Lead Maintenance/Service Technician Rockstar to join our team. At Edelman, we believe in creating comfortable, safe spaces for our customers while providing a supportive atmosphere where you can actually advance your career. If you’re a seasoned problem-solver who excels at technical troubleshooting and has a natural knack for leading others, you’re in the right place. You Should Apply If: You’re a Technical Master. You don’t just find the problem; you understand the "why" behind it. From complex wiring diagrams to advanced refrigeration cycles, you are the go-to expert. You’re a Mentor at Heart. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and helping junior technicians level up their skills on and off the job site. You’re a Quality Champion. You take pride in the "Edelman Standard." You ensure every job—whether yours or your team's—is done right the first time. You’re a Communication Leader. You can explain complex technical issues to a homeowner with ease and keep the leadership team informed on field operations. You’re Radically Honest. You lead by example, showing up on time, maintaining a sharp appearance, and taking ownership of every situation. You Shouldn’t Apply If: You prefer to just "clock in and clock out" without investing in the success of the technicians around you. You aren't comfortable being the final point of escalation for difficult technical calls. You find it difficult to provide constructive feedback or hold others accountable to company standards. Your Daily Mission: The Field Leader: Perform high-level diagnostics and service on residential systems while overseeing the quality of work performed in your territory. Team Development: Assist in training junior techs on electrical principles, soldering, and troubleshooting to help them hit their 20-hour annual training goals. Customer Excellence: Lead by example in discussing maintenance agreements and product options, ensuring homeowners receive the best possible solutions. Operational Partnership: Work closely with dispatch and management to optimize schedules and resolve field challenges in real-time. Safety & Standards: Ensure the fleet is operating safely and that "Zero Accident" standards are met across the board. What You Bring to the Table: The Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of HVAC service experience with a proven track record of technical excellence. The Credentials: EPA Universal Certification is required; NATE certification or specialized training is a major plus. Valid driver's license with a clean record. The Leadership: Previous experience leading a crew or mentoring apprentices is preferred. The Grit: Ability to handle the physical demands of the trade and the mental demand of solving the "impossible" problems. Why Edelman? Competitive Lead Pay: Get rewarded for your leadership and expertise. $28–$38 per hour (based on experience) + commissions and spiffs. Career Growth: We don't just give you a job; we give you a path. We’ll help you develop the leadership skills to move into management or specialized senior roles. Stability: A consistent schedule with a supportive leadership team that values your input. A "World Class" Culture: Work for a company that values quality work and respects the heartbeat of the business—the technicians. Our DNA (The Edelman Way) Our mission is to make the world a better place, one home at a time. From the Heartland to Florida, we are rooted in faith, family, and a commitment to excellence.
