About The Position

Palo Verde Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Lead Maintanance Tech! Come join our Team!! This position is responsible for ensuring the facility is in an excellent and safe condition at all time. This position will train staff and ensure the smooth running of upkeep and repair operations. The Lead Maintenance Tech must be reliable and detail oriented. A knowledge of various crafts (carpentry, plumbing) and technical skills are essential. This position is a go-to for the department and will also be responsible for assisting in scheduling. Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. We offer partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for co-occurring symptoms. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience required.
  • Must be avialable for nights and weekend for occasional On-Call.
  • Must have knowledge of Basic HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Drywall, and Painting.
  • Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest x-ray every 4 years thereafter.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Class 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for inspecting buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
  • Ensures all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitors, tests, inspects and performs other assigned tasks in support of utility management.
  • Assists in preparing weekly maintenance schedules.
  • Oversees and trains maintenance Staff
  • Coordinates repairs, overseeing tradesmen for installations, repairs and maintenance.
