About The Position

Lead the production line with a hands-on approach. The Line Lead must be able to clearly communicate tasks, provide direction, and set expectations for the team. This role requires holding team members accountable for their performance, addressing issues as they arise, and ensuring the line stays on schedule and operates efficiently throughout the shift. Also responsible for cleaning and quality-checking their machinery and performing diverse duties to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the overall goals and objectives of the company.

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Experience with automation and bottle-filling equipment is preferred
Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office or relevant time and attendance applications.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and organized work area by adhering to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment. Promptly report and address any safety concerns to the appropriate personnel
Manage daily production activities, assign tasks, and motivate team members for assigned line
Ensure production goals are met, including targets for output, quality, and efficiency for assigned line
Perform manual operations such as line feeder, filling, labeling, packing, capping, palletizing, sealing
Operate each line and machine and perform necessary adjustments to machinery and mechanical equipment, such as belts, bolts, tension rods and rollers to troubleshoot, control, and adjust machine settings and minimize downtime
Train new employees, provide ongoing support, and help team members improve skills for assigned line
Conduct quality inspections throughout production and report any deviations or non-conformance issues to the Production Manager and Quality Team immediately
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
Identify and address production issues and escalate problems to management when needed
Assist with line changeovers, ensuring smooth, accurate transitions between production orders (POs) to minimize downtime and maintain workflow efficiency
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust machines as needed
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
Ensure all paperwork and documentation are filled out clearly, correctly, and in full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Maintain consistent and reliable attendance, including the ability to work overtime when necessary
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency
Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals and team objectives
