Requirements

  • State certification or license in Early Childhood Education preferred .
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a preschool or early childhood setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children and families.
  • Passion for early childhood education and fostering a love for learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum standards.
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and curiosity.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure a holistic approach to each child's education.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers, promoting professional development and teamwork.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom that reflects the values of The Goddard School.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Implement health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all students.
