About The Position

As a Learning & Development Instructional Design Intern, you will work closely with our Learning and Organizational Development team on a variety of tasks, attend team meetings, manage small projects, and gain hands-on experience to learn about the department's role within the organization, including an opportunity to help design and develop engaging and effective learning materials for our employees. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in instructional design, e-learning development, and project management within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Ability to work 100% in the office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and multimedia software (e.g., Canva.com, TechSmith, Photoshop).
  • Basic understanding of instructional design principles (ADDIE) and adult learning theories.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a passion for creating engaging educational content.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts: to identify learning needs and objectives.
  • Conduct needs analysis to determine skill gaps and diagnose training and development needs through surveys, interviews, direct job observation, and review of existing organizational data.
  • Help design and develop instructional materials, including e-learning modules, job aids, and training manuals.
  • Utilize multimedia tools and software to create interactive and visually appealing content.
  • Assist in the evaluation and assessment of training programs to ensure effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Support the implementation and delivery of training programs across various platforms.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions and project planning.
  • Support the updating, improving, and publishing of corporate training resources using Adobe Acrobat, MS Office tools, and/or training authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, iDesign).
  • Assist in the preparation and production of instructor-led trainings, both virtual and in-person.
  • Co-facilitate relevant training courses, meetings, and/or events as deemed appropriate.
  • Complete a summary report of a completed priority project detailing lessons learned and deliverables completed.
  • Maintain training records, including position competency assessments, needs analysis findings, and program participation for both in-house and external training programs.
  • Support the L&D team with ad-hoc tasks and perform other duties as assigned.
