Leasing Analyst (Retail) Location: Cincinnati, OH Position Summary The Leasing Analyst at Last Mile Investments supports the Leasing team through deal analysis, transaction coordination, and documentation management across a national portfolio of retail assets. Reporting to the Vice President of Asset Management, this role provides hands-on exposure to retail leasing within an owner-operator platform and is designed for an entry-level professional seeking to grow into a Leasing Associate role within 1–2 years. The Leasing Analyst supports leasing activity from early deal review through execution and handoff, working closely with Leasing, Asset Management, Operations, brokers, legal counsel, and tenants. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 0–3 years of experience in commercial real estate, finance, asset management, brokerage, or a related analytical or support role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in retail leasing.
  • Comfortable working with financial statements, deal summaries, and transaction documentation.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple active workstreams.
  • Proficiency with Excel and document management systems.
  • Ability to learn quickly, take feedback, and assume increasing responsibility over time.

Responsibilities

  • Support leasing transactions across new leases, renewals, amendments, and assignments.
  • Draft renewals, amendments, exhibits, and supporting lease documentation based on approved deal terms.
  • Prepare lease approval checklists, deal comparisons, and internal review materials.
  • Review leasing commissions for accuracy and consistency with approved deal terms.
  • Support leased abstraction review and approval workflows.
  • Assist with parking calculations, deal exhibits, and lease analysis as needed.
  • Identify potential lease improvement opportunities on renewals not already flagged by the leasing team.
  • Request, collect, and track tenant financial statements, sales reports, background checks, and credit checks.
  • Review tenant financials for completeness and flag follow-up items.
  • Assist with tenant qualification calls and business health check-ins.
  • Verify receipt of all required tenant deliverables prior to execution.
  • Prepare and circulate documents for execution.
  • Draft execution emails for new leases and renewals once fully signed.
  • Build and update leasing vitals, deal summaries, and handoff memos.
  • Maintain accurate and organized deal files, including saving emails and attachments in appropriate folders.
  • Assist with updating lease clause library language and leasing standards documentation.
  • Run ad hoc reports to support leasing, asset management, and executive review.
  • Assist with monthly leasing and operations update emails to the executive team.
  • Coordinate meetings and calls with brokers, tenants, legal counsel, and internal teams.
  • Take detailed notes and track follow-ups from broker and tenant calls.
  • Coordinate with property management on HVAC inspections, bids, and operational items tied to leasing activity.
  • Coordinate renewals and new leases with NAP marketing for social media and LinkedIn announcements.
  • Update pylon sign exhibits as required.
