Salary is $50,000 - $55,000/year | Credit given for experience Great Benefits Available How you will make an impact: As the Leave of Absence Specialist, you will be responsible for administering employee leave requests within a PEO environment, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant handling of all leave types. This role will manage cases under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Personal Leave of Absence (PLOA), state-paid leave programs, Short-term Disability (STD), and Long-Term Disability (LTD). You will also serve as the first point of contact for employees and applicants, initiating outreach within 24-48 hours of receiving a request.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in HR, benefits, leave administration, or a related employee support function (PEO or multi-state experience preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of federal and state leave laws (FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, state-paid leave programs, STD/LTD).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain leave processes clearly and empathetically to employees and clients.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, case management, or CRM systems (UKG Ready or similar preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity, professionalism and discretion.
