About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrator who wants to join a dedicated in-house legal team at a growing public company in the space sector. This role reports directly to the Associate General Counsel. The primary responsibilities of the role include serving as the internal communication hub for all matters related to performance issues for top accounts in order to help ensure all customer commitments are clearly understood, documented, and delivered on time. In addition, this role will support legal research and operational support. The ideal candidate will have experience administering program or contract performance compliance. Candidates with experience in manufacturing, space, government, or emerging technology industries will stand out. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to collaborate and motivate cross functional teams to achieve goals.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively communicate with management, team members, stakeholders and vendors.
  • Aptitude for identifying issues and obstacles and developing creative and effective solutions.
  • Experience with project management software, contract management software, Google and Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Proficient organizational skills to manage tasks, priorities, and multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to develop, learn, and follow standardized processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor communication to the target audience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, where prioritization is required to be effective.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental (DFARS), specifically FAR Part 12 procurements.
  • National Contracts Management Association (NCMA) Certification (CFCM preferred), Paralegal Certificate, or other similar credentials.
  • Familiarity with contracting with domestic and international state and local governments.
  • Experience in the space sector.
  • Passion for space technologies.
  • Experience working at a public company.
  • Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification.
  • Multilingual and/or experience working internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the internal communication hub for all matters related to performance issues for top accounts in order to help ensure all customer commitments are clearly understood, documented, and delivered on time.
  • Partner with the Sales and Proposals teams in the pre-award phase to understand customer requirements and identify any known issues that may impact future performance.
  • Coordinate all activities related to post-contractual performance requirements, including maintaining detailed records itemizing requirements across multiple complex agreements with domestic and international customers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services to spec.
  • Partner with Subcontracts and Procurement teams to ensure customer’s requirements are fully understood and flowed through.
  • Develop DACI/RACI matrices to identify the parties who are responsible for specific tasks and maintain regular communication for status updates.
  • Develop strong partnership with Program Managers, Technical Support, and Customer Success Managers to ensure timely and detailed communications related to customer concerns.
  • Drive readiness for scheduled customer meetings and reports.
  • Identify, monitor, and respond to potential performance issues, including by drafting internal communications for a cross functional audience across all levels of the company.
  • Liaise as required with finance and accounting for issues related to payment obligations or delays.
  • Summarize contract performance and progress to senior and executive leadership.
  • Support legal research projects, including drafting internal memoranda.
  • Other legal team support as required.
  • Identify and implement automated processes, using approved AI tools or other resources to maximize efficiencies.
