Polsinelli has a position available for an entry-level Legal Office Assistant in their Kansas City office, supporting all practice groups and backing up the receptionist.

Requirements

  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Desire to learn various areas of law and the ability to learn new programs.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage and organize files, both in paper and electronic form.
  • Responsible for a broad variety of administrative tasks
  • Must be able to professionally communicate with clients, attorneys, and staff, either in person, by telephone, or by email.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated active approaches to problem-solving with good decision-making capability.
  • Qualified candidates must possess a strong initiative
  • Demonstrate an ability to anticipate needs
  • Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Possess strong proofreading and typing skills.
  • Demonstrating a professional image to our clients
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with clients, staff and attorneys
  • Willingness to assist with office projects and events
