About The Position

Disability Law Group is seeking a Legal Writing Intern (Law Student) to assist the firm’s partners with legal research and written content supporting publications, presentations, CLE materials, and other thought leadership initiatives. This position is ideal for a law student with strong research and writing skills who is interested in developing experience in disability law, administrative law, and legal analysis. The role focuses primarily on legal writing and research, rather than case file management or litigation drafting.

Requirements

  • Current law student (1L, 2L, or 3L) in good standing
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Experience with Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar research tools
  • Ability to synthesize complex legal information into clear written analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and organization

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in disability law, veterans law, or administrative law preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research related to disability law, veterans law, and administrative law topics
  • Assist partners with drafting articles, publications, blog content, and legal commentary
  • Support preparation of presentations, continuing legal education (CLE) materials, and speaking engagements
  • Research case law, statutes, and regulatory developments relevant to disability benefits law
  • Assist with development of educational or thought leadership materials for attorneys and external audiences
  • Help summarize legal updates, emerging issues, or regulatory changes
  • Collaborate with attorneys and leadership on research projects and publication timelines
