Liason Engineering Specialist

About The Position

Prepare all necessary documents to support the interior and secondary structure modification of Bombardier aircraft such as detail, assembly and installation drawings, specification documents and substantiation reports. Coordinate with outside suppliers, internal departments and regulatory agencies regarding the design, installation, integration, and certification of new interior components to support floorplan modifications. Research specification for component selection. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure specifications are met. Support statement of work creation and bids for new customer requests. Assist service center personnel in investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build/modification and test issues and create deviation drawings as required. Work in a team environment

Requirements

Bachelor of Science Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or minimum of five (5) years of practical mechanical design experience in aviation.
Working knowledge of integration of ECS systems, waste and potable water systems, and other commodities associated with interior installations.
Proficient creating mechanical drawings using CATIA (required) and AutoCAD (additional)
Working knowledge of applicable regulatory certification rules (FAA, EASA, TCCA).
Proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
Self-starter and able to handle multiple initiatives effectively.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Organized individual, able to work effectively with a variety of cross-functional individuals, departments and organizations with a general good attitude and disposition.
