Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current North Carolina state or compact state LPN license.
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions within scope
  • Assists providers with examinations, procedures and patient care
  • Provides patient education related to cardiac health, medications and treatment plans
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation in the medical record
  • Coordinates patient care, including scheduling, referrals and follow-up care
  • Maintains a safe and clean clinical environment
