Licensed Veterinary Technician - Critical Care

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Downtown Manhattan is seeking a skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to work alongside our board-certified criticalist. Responsibilities
- Triage and stabilize emergency patients upon arrival, managing cases from ER intake through ICU admission.
- Administer anesthesia for minor surgical procedures, including wound repairs and laceration management.
- Perform digital radiography, utilizing appropriate sedation, positioning, and low-stress restraint techniques.
- Monitor hospitalized patients, recognizing changes in vital signs and intervening promptly in high-risk or critical situations.
- Calculate and administer medications accurately, including constant rate infusions (CRIs) and multi-route drug delivery.
- Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters with efficiency and precision.
- Assist with administering blood transfusions.
- Assist with and maintain advanced supportive care techniques, including feeding tubes and central line catheters.
- Obtain and maintain BLS and ALS RECOVER CPR certification (provided).
- Mentor and support team members to promote clinical growth and collaboration.
- Deliver compassionate client communication, addressing concerns with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
