About The Position

The Department of Natural Resources, Licensing & Registration Service, is currently acceptingapplications for a Licensing & Registration Technician I. This is an entry level customer service position located inAnnapolis, MD. Licensing and Registration Technicians provide customer assistance in person, by phone, mail, and emailrelating to the processing of recreational hunting and fishing licenses, commercial fishing licenses, vessel registrationincluding titling and excise tax collection, and other available products. This is an entry level position in Public Services, which serves as the front-line connection between the Department of Natural Resources and its constituency. Public Services is responsible for (1) sport hunting and fishing license sales, (2) vessel registration, titling and excise tax collection, (3) commercial tidal fish license renewals and transfers, (4) the issuance of off-road vehicle permits, and (5) the licensing and monitoring of boat dealers and sport license agents.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Three years of bookkeeping or non-professional accounting or customer service related work. Customer service related work may include experience in public contact areas, such as wholesale or retail sales.
Candidates appointed to positions in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
