About The Position

The Lifeguard continuously monitors members behavior to ensure safety at the outside/inside pool and spa and maintains standards of cleanliness and pool chemical balances.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of high school education. Work permit required if under 18 years of age.
• Six months previous lifeguard experience preferred.
• Lifeguard, AHA BLS-HCP and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire, Water Safety Instructor (WSI) preferred.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness and enforces rules of outside/inside pool and spa area(s).
• Ensures all safety regulations are being adhered to for members safety.
• Checks on chemical balance of pools and spa.
• Operates pumps, vacuum, backwash and draining when needed.
• Teaches swimming lessons when needed.
• Wears proper uniform.
• Notifies manager if any questions and/or problems arise.
• If unable to work a scheduled shift, follows proper procedure to find a replacement.
