Position Overview The Production Lead plays a critical role in supporting daily operations on the production floor. This position partners closely with team members and leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production, while driving accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in multiple formats
  • Basic math skills (including ratios, percentages, and measurements)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Willingness to learn equipment, systems, and processes

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and coordinate with Material Management to support production needs
  • Track and support daily department performance and key metrics
  • Manage product flow, staging, and order assembly to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Locate, rework, re-label, or re-date product as needed
  • Support production operations by filling in on lines and operating equipment (including lowboy)
  • Perform required quality and food safety checks (temperature, leaker, burst tank, etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, food safety standards, and all safety policies
  • Train and support team members to build capability and consistency
  • Identify process issues and work collaboratively to resolve and improve them
  • Verify schedules and align daily activities to meet production goals
  • Ensure proper end-of-day organization, product storage, and housekeeping
  • Submit and track maintenance needs using systems such as Avantis
  • Utilize operational systems (ERP, Portean, Accusort, etc.) effectively
  • Assist with data entry and performance tracking to support continuous improvement
  • Order supplies as needed to maintain smooth operations
