About The Position

The Line Operator is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of a processing line in order to meet plant goals of safety, quality, delivery, and cost on a line by line basis.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in a refrigerated area
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to balance multiple tasks, be flexible and work well under pressure
• Ability to work weekends, shift work and overtime
• High School Diploma/GED

Nice To Haves

• Preferred two years plus related experience in a processing facility

Responsibilities

• Operates and oversees the operation of a packaging line on a specific shift
• Observes and reports any mechanical issues to the Supervisor or maintenance department
• Ensures proper flow of product on each line that that production goals are being met
• Reports to the Supervisor on line performance to the budgeted goals for each hour to ensure targets are being met and issues that mean production goals are not being achieved are corrected
• Performs other duties as assigned
