Summary The Roaster Operator tends, maintains, and adjust machines that roast and freeze a variety of vegetables and fruits. This individual ensures that product and roasting requirements are met safely, efficiently and with minimal waste.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Good knowledge of computer systems
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to balance multiple tasks, be flexible and work well under pressure
Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment; team player with strong work ethic
Forklift lift experience required and ability to be certified

Nice To Haves

Preferred two years plus related experience

Responsibilities

Maintains the start up and continuous operation of roasting equipment while maintaining efficiencies and assists the department in meeting or exceeding daily roasting goals
Obtains daily work schedules and completes work orders based on standard operating procedures
Ensures roasting equipment functions according to specifications
Prepares roasting equipment prior to product run including cleaning and making adjustments
Notifies mechanics of any mechanical issues on packaging equipment
Maintains safe and clean working environment
Performs other duties as assigned
