About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused CDL Driver / Yard Operations Crew Member to support both transportation and yard operations. This position will split responsibilities approximately 50% driving local intercompany routes and 50% performing on-site yard operational duties. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, compliant transport of materials between local company locations while also supporting daily yard activities including material handling, loading/unloading, and facility organization.

Requirements

Valid Class A with clean driving record.
Current DOT medical card.
Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
Forklift and/or heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
Strong understanding of DOT regulations and transportation safety requirements.
Ability to safely operate forklifts and other yard equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as required.
Dependable, punctual, and team oriented.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company-owned commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required).
Transport materials, equipment, and supplies between company locations (local routes, home daily).
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Ensure proper load securement and compliance with all federal and state transportation laws.
Report vehicle maintenance needs and coordinate repairs as required.
Support other Lanco companies with local shipment moves as needed.
Load and unload materials using forklifts or other yard equipment.
Assist with organizing, staging, and inventorying materials in the yard.
Support incoming and outgoing shipments and verify material accuracy.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of yard and warehouse areas.
Follow all company safety standards and PPE requirements.
Assist operations team with equipment preparation and material handling tasks.
Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely movement of materials.
Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies.
Support continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
