About The Position

The Logistics Intern is responsible for providing critical financial analysis and support to the Logistics and Customer Success team. This role involves a deep understanding of logistics operations, financial reporting, data analysis and customer service. The primary focus is on ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in data science, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Knowledge of logistics operations, including freight, warehousing, imports, and transportation is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for freight, warehousing, import, and other logistics costs.
Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and potential cost-saving opportunities.
Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future costs and budgets.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required.
Logistics Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to logistics operations.
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data.
Utilize data visualization tools to present insights in a clear and concise manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and reporting.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and reduce costs.
Work with the team to automate manual tasks and leverage technology to optimize workflows.
Receive and process customer orders, ensuring orders meet company policies relating to pricing, promotions, lead time, weight, etc.
Identify and resolve service issues.
Quickly identify the source of a problem, gather and analyze information related to the issue, and devise a solution that best meets both the company’s and the customer’s needs.
