About The Position

This position is responsible for performing shipment data entry work using the appropriate software; entering, updating, verifying and/or retrieving shipping information from various systems; and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of information needed. This position will report to the Parcel Supervisor and will work closely with Customer Service, Logistics, Fulfillment, and Operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data entry or a related field
• Proficient in data entry software and MS Office Suite
• Excellent typing skills and accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong organization and communication skills
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience in a related field
• Associates Degree
• Previous experience with FedEx systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Enter, update, and verify data for inbound and outbound shipments into the vendor’s system with a high level of accuracy.
• Track shipment details, locations, and estimated time of arrivals.
• Request clarification or advise supervisor of issues related to shipping data and keep informed of ongoing performance issues.
• Collaborate with team members on matters affecting logistics data consistency and integrity.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams including managers, warehouse staff, Customer Service, carriers, freight vendors and others regarding shipping and delivery issues.
• Perform regular quality checks on data to identify and correct errors.
• Make recommendations for improvement or enhancement to job processes to ensure standards in logistics data.
