Your “Day to Day” As a Logistics Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that logistics operations across the U.S. market meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and product integrity. Your daily responsibilities will include:

Requirements

  • University degree in Supply Chain, Quality, Logistics, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Quality, Logistics, Management, Distribution, Warehousing, and/or Transportation.
  • Solid understanding of GMP, ISO 9001, and regulatory requirements related to tobacco or nicotine products.
  • Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, CAPA management, and audit execution.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, SAP).
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
  • Experience supporting logistics for smoke-free or other regulated consumer products.
  • Familiarity with sustainability or ESG-aligned logistics practices.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (or equivalent) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and audit warehousing, transportation, and distribution processes to ensure full compliance with PMI’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Lead investigations of logistics-related non‑conformances, including product damage, contamination, mislabeling, and temperature excursions.
  • Develop and implement robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders—quality, operations, logistics, IT, and warehouse teams—to define, refine, and continuously improve logistics quality processes.
  • Draft, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with PMI standards.
  • Maintain regular connection with warehouse personnel across the PMI network to review quality topics and update quality performance status.
  • Support reverse logistics processes, including product returns, disposition, and sustainability-focused activities.
  • Ensure full traceability and integrity of smoke-free products throughout the U.S. supply chain.
  • Analyze logistics quality data such as damage rates, returns, and audit results to identify trends or improvement areas.
  • Prepare and deliver quality performance reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide training to logistics and warehouse personnel on handling procedures, hygiene standards, and quality protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements for tobacco and nicotine-containing products.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address logistics-related customer complaints and feedback.
  • Contribute quality input to recall readiness, execution, and PRSSM processes.
