About The Position

We are seeking Low‑Voltage / Security Systems Technicians to support commercial construction and service projects. This role focuses on installing, servicing, and maintaining access control systems, surveillance cameras, structured cabling, and related low‑voltage infrastructure. Technicians will work in commercial buildings, campuses, and other large‑scale facilities. Requirements

  • 1+ year experience in low‑voltage, physical security, IT, or electronics
  • Commercial installation experience preferred
  • Familiarity with access control, CCTV, and structured cabling systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles
  • Comfortable working at heights (ladders, lifts)

Nice To Haves

  • Structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber, low‑voltage)
  • Access control platforms (Lenel, S2, Genetec, Software House, Avigilon, etc.)
  • Surveillance systems (IP and analog cameras, head‑end equipment)
  • Door hardware installation (electrified locks, strikes, crash bars, readers)
  • Knowledge of major door hardware manufacturers
  • Experience in construction or service environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Punctual, reliable, and safety‑focused
  • Coachable attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Organized and detail‑oriented
  • Professional appearance and communication
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel and adapt to changing job sites

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and maintain low‑voltage systems, including:
  • Electronic access control devices and electrified door hardware
  • Surveillance cameras and video management systems
  • Structured cabling systems (Category cable, fiber, and low‑voltage)
  • Wireless access points and related security/network devices
  • Perform cable pathway installation and proper cable management
  • Test, troubleshoot, and resolve system or connectivity issues
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite organization
  • Follow safety standards, jobsite protocols, and best practices
  • Complete installation documentation and service reports
  • Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and other technicians
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the security industry
