About The Position

NextGen Technologies is a fast-growing subcontractor in fire protection and low-voltage systems, proudly serving the Southeast for over 20 years under the same ownership. As a Low Voltage Install Helper, you'll work side by side with a lead installer on active job sites: Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling of all standard types Assist with the installation of fire alarm, security, CCTV, nurse call, and telecom systems Help mount and position devices, panels, and equipment per plans and direction Assist with system testing and commissioning during project completion Keep job sites clean, organized, and stocked with materials Help complete accurate installation documentation and paperwork

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in low voltage, electrical, or a related trade
  • Clean driving record (you'll travel to job sites daily)
  • Able to read and follow basic installation plans and direction from a lead tech
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel a plus)
  • Dependable, punctual, team-oriented attitude
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs, work at heights above 10 feet, work in confined spaces, stand for long periods, and work in hot and cold environments.

  • Knowledge of fire safety codes is a bonus — we'll continue your training on the job
