As a Material Program Manager (MPM), you will be accountable for all Global Supply Chain (GSC) activities for Raytheon’s Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor Program (LTAMDS) GhostEye. The successful candidate will be a great team-builder, will work with various systems and people and operate in a matrix environment to deliver business results. The role encompasses the complete Program life cycle from capture through execution and sustainment and requires an ability to operate in a challenging, fast-paced, and constantly changing environment.

Requirements

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in Project, Program, Product, Finance and/or Supplier Management.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Engineering, Supply Chain or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) and the ability to work and succeed in a matrix environment.
  • Must be a self-starter, capable of implementing functional and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management and, as required, supplier management.
  • Must be able to succeed in a high stress, fast paced development environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to assign the appropriate priorities to often conflicting tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and translate LTAMDS requirements to suppliers
  • Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and risk.
  • Ensure suppliers are operating to and supporting Material Resource Planning (MRP), the Material Program Plan (MPP), and the (Master Program Schedule) MPS.
  • Represent GSC and serve as the GSC interface to the Program Management Office (PMO).
  • Report GSC program status and communicate critical issues to external and internal customers, as well as offering solutions and implementing corrective action(s).
  • Prepare monthly material sales forecasts, utilizing the Material Forecast Tool (MFT), including interface and alignment with IPTs, Procurement and FP&A Teams, and perform a monthly forecast variance analysis.
  • Implement proactive management of material sales Risk & Opportunity to manage mitigation plans.
  • Support GSC new Program start-up activities, including development of the Material Program Plan (MPP), Contract Flow-Through Brief (CFB) and baselining activities.
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues.
  • Act as a key supplier and customer interface.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities within the supplier’s performance.
  • Facilitate necessary product and process changes through collaboration with suppliers and Engineering/Quality.
  • Facilitate resolution of product non-conformances.
  • Actively participate in program/engineering reviews and change boards, including CN (Change Notice) approvals.
  • Ability to recognize supplier risks and escalate as needed.
  • Commitment to obtain MPM certification after experience in the role.
