Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) has an immediate need for a Land Warfare and Air Defense Program Operations Development Manager for programs in Andover, Massachusetts. This position will provide professionals with opportunities to grow their skills in operations management, technical operations, business communications, and leadership. This individual will be a member of a team responsible for coordinating with the Patriot Product Line (PPL), Manufacturing Work Centers, and other Functional Partners to ensure seamless New Product Introduction of development hardware into the ongoing GEM-T production flow. This will include successful on time integration of the development material and labor efforts necessary to support manufacturing and contract schedules. The successful candidate will be a key member of a team responsible for ensuring that development hardware deliverables are produced on time and on budget. He/she will liaise between the manufacturing work centers and other IPT functions including Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to align production plan execution efforts and to both identify and resolve constraints as they arise.

Requirements

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with business systems such as SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Material Resource Planning (MRP) and/or Kinaxis Rapid Response.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous project management or leadership experience involving cooperation with cross-functional teams and proven results.
  • Previous experience with new product introduction / transition to build for new designs into production.
  • CORE/Six Sigma experience, especially leading teams on cost reduction initiatives or manufacturing cycle time reductions.
  • EVMS L2 Certification or ability to earn.
  • Knowledge of RLPM (RTX Lifecycle Program Management) or IPDS (Integrated Product Development System), and ability to create and manage a complex IMS using Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the coordination and execution of development hardware schedules for Patriot Missile with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and other functional areas.
  • Liaise between Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure that producibility concerns are addressed as early as possible in the design process.
  • Participate in Make/Buy/Where decisions and lead planning of factory process flows for make parts.
  • Identify manufacturing constraints as early as possible and cooperate with other functions to minimize cost and schedule impact to production.
  • Organize and lead the POM team in execution of application tests and other variances to validate the development hardware.
  • Utilize the RLPM NPI Process and represent Operations at RLPM Checkpoints and Gate Reviews.
