About The Position
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Pay: $18–$24 per hour (based on experience) Primary Purpose Support the school health program and provide care for students and staff under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas LVN License
- Current CPR & AED Certification
- Basic first aid knowledge
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to maintain records and use basic computer programs
- At least 1 year in a health-related position
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with school-age children preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide basic care following student health plans
- Administer medications per district guidelines
- Assist with health screenings and reports
- Communicate with staff and parents as needed
- Support students with medical needs
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records
- Follow all safety, health, and district policies
- Assist in ARD meetings when needed
- Support and guide clinic aides
- Follow all emergency and safety procedures
