About The Position

The MA/LPN/RN assists physicians and other clinicians or therapists in the coordination of patient care for new and established patients. Duties include (but are not limited to): obtaining basic assessment information including vital signs; advocating for patients; preparing exam rooms; documenting in the EMR according to TSMH policy and procedures. The MA/LPN/RN will act as a liaison between providers and patients. MA/LPN/RN duties may include both front and back office. Must be wiling to cross train within other areas of the family practice clinic. The schedule for this position is four 10-hour shifts, Monday - Thursday.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must have graduated from or be about to complete a medical assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
  • LPN or RN must have active WA State or MultiState Compact license.
  • Washington State Medical Assistant - Certified.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR, certification card on hire or within orientation period.
  • LPN or RN may be considered.
  • The candidate must have minimum of one year of experience in a physician office, hospital or ambulatory care facility; behavioral health experience is preferred.
  • Must have a pleasant personality and experience dealing with the public and patients with special needs.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude and ability to organize information for quick retrieval is required.
  • Computer skills, medical terminology, and experience with office assessments necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference with experience in deescalating patients in crisis.
  • behavioral health experience
