About The Position

This role includes material handling and utilizing manufacturing machinery while following operating procedures. This is an entry-level production role that can lead to a career in machine tool programming, which is a highly marketable skillset. We will support the learning and development of this professional. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, team player.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
  • Reliability.
  • Interest in career development and personal learning.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and/or environment.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with others.
  • Ability to utilize basic office equipment.
  • Ability to climb ladders.

  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to lift 20-30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Manufacturing/Machining experience desired.

  • Ability to work Power Equipment (Crane, Forklift, etc). In-house training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure we meet customer needs and maintain a high level of service.
  • Prioritize production sequence based on customer demand and lead time.
  • Follow detailed instructions, work from standard coding and operational data to change or mount tools and position work piece.
  • Verify inventory reports by comparing them to physical counts of stock.
  • Adjust machine and fixture stops to maintain finish and tolerance requirements.
  • Working from certified part drawings, utilize required precision measuring instruments to check machine positioning, inspect finished parts, and record results on SPC charts.
  • Recognize and report any program and/or machine malfunctions, tooling difficulties, etc.
  • Operate powered material handling equipment to transport inventory, unload incoming stock and load orders.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and perform other related duties as required.
