About The Position

The Maintenance Admin intern position will assist the Director of Facilities with organization of construction documents including drawings, submittals, operation & maintenance manuals, and other archive materials. The intern will also shadow the maintenance administration team to learn principles and strategies for managing projects across a large campus. This job encompasses work for all of Moody Gardens including the Attractions, Hotel, and Golf Course.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old with a career focus on construction/maintenance/engineering planning and management
• Must have a High School diploma or GED
• Must be reliable, responsible and emotionally mature with a cooperative attitude
• Ability to work unsupervised or as a team member and to communicate well with others
• Ability to interact with guests and other staff in a professional manner
• Ability to work outside in weather extremes including high temperatures during a Texas summer
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling
• Ability to push and pull objects or materials weighing up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work while standing for long periods of time
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Ability to grasp, lift, or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs, occasionally waist high

Nice To Haves

• Preference will be given to those enrolled in a related college program
• Knowledge and experience with construction plans and drawings preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with and learn the daily activities, duties, and responsibilities as outlined in a timely and consistent manner
• Assist with organization of construction documents as directed (physical and digital records)
• Participate in company seminars and educational programs
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Anything your supervisor deems necessary when a team effort is required
• Any and all other duties as assigned; duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody Gardens
