About The Position

Since the doors opened in 1972, our Atlanta factory has grown dramatically into a state-of-the-art facility. With sustainability and safety at the forefront of our minds, our Atlanta factory proudly and passionately produces 460,000 tons a year of our dry pet food brands, including Alpo®, Beneful®, Cat Chow®, Dog Chow®, Friskies®, Purina ONE®, and Pro Plan®. As an Electrician you will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems, which will include facilities, unloading, processing, packing and warehouse operations. You will troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment. Working in a safe manner at all times, you will play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements across the plant. Our electrician’s work includes both predictive and preventative maintenance. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of electrical experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR a 2-year technical degree.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs
  • Properly use basic diagnostic equipment including volt/ohm meter, wiggie, ammeter and megger
  • Proper usage of PPE equipment while operating in the MCC rooms
  • Installation of sensors
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain switch gear, control wiring and components, overcurrent and overload protection for plant motor(s) including three phase systems
  • Troubleshoot and maintain plant electrical and electronic equipment to competent level including operator interfaces, process controllers, power supplies, etc.
  • Responsible for calibration of plant metering devices
  • All other duties as assigned
