About The Position

The responsibilities for the Maintenance Mechanic II include but are not limited to install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain all types of equipment including electrical, plumbing, welding and carpentry. Will perform other duties whenever conducive to efficient plant operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience and skill in performing various equipment related maintenance tasks: HVAC, welding and sheet metal fabrication, painting, electrical, plumbing, operation of heavy equipment, and carpentry.
  • Able to troubleshoot mechanical equipment.
  • Able to accurately use calipers, micrometers, levels, squares, tape measure, etc.
  • Able to use hand and power tools.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. or more at times.
  • Able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Must have a dependable, safe work history.
  • Knowledge of PLC Programming and CNC operations
  • Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Able to work overtime as required.
  • Able to read manuals and engineering blue prints for tooling, equipment, and facilities.
  • Must be US person.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical Journeyman License preferred
  • Journeyman electrician preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate various machines including large presses, lathes, mills, CNC machines, welding equipment, etc.
  • Perform complex setups, tool changes, and preventive maintenance on all types of equipment
  • Install, repair or replace equipment including pumps, plumbing, PLC driven automation equipment, electrical systems and features.
  • Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, drawings, diagrams and other instructions and procedures.
  • Design, assemble, troubleshoot and provide documentation to support tooling and fixtures.
  • Weld and fabricate tooling and equipment as needed.
  • Work overtime when needed to support operations and Perform other duties as required and when conducive to efficient plant operations.
  • Train new employees on inspection, operation, setup and troubleshooting of machines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
