Identify Manager’s goals and develop them into his. Assist in training programs. Make out schedules. Post jobs (work assignments daily). Develop procedures to be proactive instead of reactive. Develop ER/Maintenance into one group through extensive training. Cover meetings when Manager can’t attend.

Requirements

  • Trade School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant manufacturing maintenance position.
  • Possess high level mechanical aptitude and ability in hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and general manufacturing maintenance
  • Demonstrated high level of mechanical aptitude and ability in industrial maintenance activities such as hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and general manufacturing maintenance
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a group/team atmosphere
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Prevalent certificates toward trade (electrical, welding, plumbing, HVAC).
  • Must have experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics.
  • Must have knowledge or equal training in all our programs HP Hood LLC has to offer.

Responsibilities

  • properly troubleshoot and repair all equipment associated with in the production facility in a timely manner with little to no supervision
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and provide recommendations as needed
  • Perform general maintenance duties as it relates to plant equipment and building
  • Properly perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and plumbing duties as required
  • Be able to troubleshoot and repair automation equipment as needed.
  • Be able to open, close and navigate work orders in CMMS.
  • Perform repairs that eliminate the root cause
  • Rebuild/replace equipment as needed, including but not limited to pumps, gear boxes, bearings, bushings, chains, bundler headers, conveyors, etc.
  • Complete assigned work orders by their required due dates
  • Complete assigned housekeeping duties as required
  • Communicate to Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager of any condition that prevents the manufacture of product to established standards
  • Work in a safe manner, in compliance with Company, State and Federal GMP’s, SOP’s and company Policy and Procedures
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies, as needed
  • Possess own tools necessary to perform the requirements of the position
  • Work effectively as part of a team and display a positive attitude
  • Communicate with other departments in the facility to learn what issues were being experienced through the day and coordinate a schedule around the production to be to perform and delegate assigned maintenance duties.
  • Obtain Hazmat Technician certification and work as a member of the local Hazmat Team
  • Ability to mentor and train mechanics.
  • Complete inspections.
  • Be involved in safety committee
  • Proactive responses for general repairs
  • Be responsible for Production floor, Engine Room and Waste Treatment Facility
  • Assist with monitoring PM schedules
  • Other duties as assigned
