About The Position

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic to join the Audio Video Division in Indiana. Are you experienced with facility maintenance and electrical systems? This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing and other equipment, along with the physical plant

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, BOM’s and procedural documents.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to frequently changing priorities/tasks.
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to identify and communicate basic process improvements.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proven reliability.
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience with facility and electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years’ experience with electrical equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report or injuries promptly.
  • Cooperate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations.
  • Learn, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all machinery throughout the plant.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing, electrical components and more throughout the physical plant.
  • Make sure materials are ready for the job.
  • Schedule and update all completed work in the correct system.
  • Assist in plant operations including Continuous Improvement, Lean systems and more.
  • Complete clean-up responsibilities and maintain workstation according to 5S procedure
  • Perform work at or above pre-established performance objectives
  • Maintain a Play As One mindset.
