About The Position

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. Role Synopsis This position is responsible for processing quality maintenance orders following Venture Global Work Management standard, that significantly attributes to safe and reliable operations. The Maint. Planner will be responsible for planning SAP MO’s by clearly identifying the work needed by craft and equipment and associated materials to complete the job safely and efficiently. The Maint Planner will report to the Senior Manager Maintenance Planning. This is a contract role located in Houston,TX.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 years maintenance planning in a natural gas processing/fractionization plant, gas gathering or transmission pipeline(s).
  • Experience with planning, leading, or executing industrial maintenance work in oil and gas environment.
  • Must be able to perform light lifting, squatting, and climbing.
  • Proficiency with computer use including SAP, Microsoft applications, email etc.
  • Experience with Maintenance management software tools.
  • Must have effective organizational skills.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be a team player.
  • Must be accountable and self-driven and continuously strive for improvement.

  • Strong technical background and knowledge of craft activities with known proven field experience.
  • Knowledge of pipeline systems and operations.
  • Understanding of benefits of effective maintenance planning and scheduling.

  • Ability to read and understand schematics, drawings (P&ID).

  • Repair methods for valves and piping.
  • You must be willing and able to travel if required.

Responsibilities

  • Build MOs in SAP with detailed job plans.
  • Clear understanding of process, including permitting, energy isolations, and identifying risks.
  • Perform job estimates (cost and manpower) and equipment support.
  • Identify and order materials in addition to requesting contract services required to execute planned jobs.
  • Assure all materials, equipment, and support is available prior to identifying work as waiting schedule.
  • Assist co-workers with learning in SAP CMMS System.
  • Create job plans for future planning opportunities.
  • Review monthly KPI report(s) for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Attend all scheduled training and aid in direction to junior planners.
  • Interact with operations to clearly understand any risks associated with jobs.
  • Conduct monthly backlog review and identify reduction opportunities.
