About The Position

The Maintenance Planner plays a key role in supporting maintenance planning and scheduling activities at Jerritt Canyon. This position partners closely with Maintenance and Operations teams to ensure planned work is effectively scoped, scheduled, and executed to support safe, reliable, and efficient equipment performance. This role is responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, improving planning processes, and supporting asset management strategies to maximize equipment availability and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience within maintenance in a mining or mineral processing environment is required.
  • 3+ years experience with maintenance planning is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify operational issues and analyze maintenance data.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence other departments to align on strategic objectives and meet KPIs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP is preferred.
  • Experience with mobile maintenance, fixed equipment maintenance and electrical maintenance planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate single-use job plans to address maintenance work driven by operational changes, regulatory updates, or equipment enhancements.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve job plans by incorporating feedback and optimizing labor, materials, tooling, task sequencing, safety requirements, risk assessments, and work staging.
  • Review and authorize vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and alignment with project scope.
  • Lead the execution of small to mid-sized projects, including scope development, justification, design, approvals, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Support the full project lifecycle from early scoping and prefeasibility through feasibility, execution, construction, and commissioning.
  • Prepare and maintain project cost forecasts and support budget tracking efforts. Provide input and coordination support to external engineering consultants during design phases.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities across internal teams throughout planning, design, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Maintain consistent communication with operations, environmental, safety, project sponsors, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Support procurement activities, including sourcing equipment, materials, and contractor services.
  • Ensure all projects are developed and executed with safety as the top priority.
  • Actively manage projects to meet expectations for quality, schedule, cost, and safety performance.
  • Utilize project management systems and tools to monitor, track, and document project progress and outcomes.
  • Communicate risks, issues, and deviations related to schedule, cost, quality, or documentation to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Oversee site pressure vessel inspection programs, including tracking certification timelines and coordinating required inspections.
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready pressure vessel records and databases.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance, drive accountability, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and reliability teams to align priorities, improve efficiency, and minimize operational disruptions.
