About The Position

The Maintenance Shift Manager will be responsible for supervising a team of skilled technicians as they perform the necessary repairs and preventive maintenance associated with the reliable operation of a beverage plant. This role involves working closely with the maintenance team, production staff, and other departments to minimize downtime and improve productivity. Schedule Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
3-5 years proven experience in a similar role.
Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
Strong knowledge of machines and equipment.
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
Keen eye for detail to ensure quality and safety standards.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facility Management, or a similar field a plus.
Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise a shift of skilled technicians, providing guidance and support as necessary to safely accomplish plant production goals.
Ensure department standards are met in the execution of maintenance work while employees are held to both food and personal safety protocols.
Manage weekly scheduled work lists, ensuring tasks are assigned and carried out appropriately to meet schedule compliance goals.
Manage an urgent work list by coordinating repairs with plant personnel and assigning shift resources as necessary.
Conduct shift change meetings to inform employees of the state of the plant and make assignments.
Responsible for training and developing technicians.
Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create, update, and complete work orders.
Help verify spare parts inventories for plant equipment.
Help manage and reduce repair parts and labor costs.
Help develop preventive and predictive plans to increase overall equipment effectiveness.
May perform similar and incidental duties as required.
