About The Position

MITER Brands™ is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door brands for the new construction and replacement segments. MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGTI, is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country. The MRO/Maintenance Stockroom Supervisor is responsible for overseeing stockroom operations, maintenance parts management, and reliability support for site equipment. This role is highly hands-on and focused on execution, coordination, and continuous improvement. The Supervisor will operate largely as an individual contributor, collaborating cross-functionally with maintenance, operations, and vendors to ensure parts availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an MRO stockroom within a manufacturing or automated distribution environment.
  • Strong experience with maintenance parts, ordering, planning, and scheduling.
  • Purchasing, budgeting, and cost tracking experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics.
  • Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and automation systems and components.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Flexibility to support maintenance schedules as needed.
  • Experience in inventory management and stock control.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with inventory systems and standard office software.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • FIIX or similar CMMS software experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee M&RE-related processes including maintenance support for automation and manufacturing equipment, electrical, facilities, and mechanical systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stockroom operations with minimal direct supervision of staff.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure timely availability of parts for planned and unplanned work.
  • Identify and develop vendors for repair and maintenance services.
  • Support project management activities including scheduling, purchasing, and order tracking.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate external services as needed.
  • Conduct cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to reduce downtime, waste, and cost.
  • Source and procure parts, materials, and supplies; obtain pricing, lead times, and terms.
  • Ensure the stockroom is clean, organized, and compliant with safety and GMP standards using 5S principles.
  • Oversee receiving, logging, and stocking of materials.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., part picker) safely as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in stockroom processes and inventory management.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports to track performance and support operational goals.
  • Work cross-functionally with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Analyze inventory data and parts usage trends to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain and utilize inventory management systems effectively.
  • Issue and manage purchase orders (POs).
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure alignment on priorities and timelines.
  • Support problem-solving efforts across departments related to parts availability and maintenance needs.
