About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Tech III to join our team located in Thomasville, NC . The Maintenance Tech III is responsible for performing skilled maintenance and repair work on production equipment and facilities in order to ensure optimal performance and functionality. The schedule for this position would be Monday- Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. We Offer You! Dynamic Culture and People The Company LIVES its values What Success Looks Like: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all manufacturing equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Monitor and maintain the performance of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human- machine interfaces (HMIs). Identify and diagnose complex problems in equipment and systems and develop effective solutions. Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all manufacturing equipment and systems. Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment and order necessary parts to minimize downtime. Assist in the installation, start-up, and commissioning of new equipment and systems. Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures. Using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMs), receive work orders, identify faulty equipment, and submit requests for parts and equipment to complete repairs. Participate in daily shift meetings, prioritizing and reviewing work orders to schedule daily work. Use analytical tools to determine RCFA, Failure Modes, and Condition-based Monitoring results and use that data to drive improvement. What You Bring: Minimum five year's of industrial, hands-on Maintenance experience Strong break-fix and preventative maintenance experience Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems. Strong knowledge of OSHA safety requirements. The hourly rate falls within a range of $32/hr to $37/hr, depending on experience, qualifications, and job responsibilities. Requirements

  • Minimum five year's of industrial, hands-on Maintenance experience
  • Strong break-fix and preventative maintenance experience
  • Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
