Basic Job Functions:We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to be actively engaged in supporting a new team that takes ownership over safety, electrical, and mechanical maintenance functions of the Towers and Structures facility. The Maintenance Technician will support a production line at a temporary location in Brigham City, UT, before moving to the permanent NTS site in Brigham City, UT. The Maintenance Technician’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing assets, creating predictive and preventive maintenance process in our computerized maintenance management system(CMMS), coordinating equipment installations across departments, manage critical spares, safely maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading production equipment, process improvement, and operation support. The Maintenance team supports plant operations while working closely with all other departments in planning future needs and/or improvements. This position must help drive continuous improvements in safety, process efficiency and plant automation. This position requires working overtime with little or no notice as well as rotating shifts, weekends and holidays, as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
