About The Position

Biovire, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company, is searching for an Maintenance Technician for the Brighton, Michigan manufacturing site to work closely with the Manager of Maintenance & Calibration and supporting staff. The duties of the Maintenance Technician are to support the day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration activities for automated production equipment and utility plant operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or equipment maintenance or a related field.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Shall be able to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and P&ID control drawings
• Shall be required to safely operate a variety of hand and power tools routinely
• Sufficient physical ability to perform moderate lifting and carrying, climbing ladders, and kneeling
• Shall work independently in the absence of supervision

Nice To Haves

• Trade schools/licenses or bachelor's degree desired.
• Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs and software used to program and monitor PLC operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs necessary to maintain pharmaceutical related production systems and utilities.
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance items on equipment, utilities, and the facility.
• Serve as the instrumentation and process control lead for all manufacturing and utility systems.
• Perform troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical faults on equipment.
• Monitor onsite Building Automation System operation as needed.
• Assist Engineering with execution of commissioning and qualification testing protocols for production and utility systems.
• Develop written procedures for the operation, calibration, and maintenance of facility and utility systems.
• Adhere to all Biovire policies including but not limited to Quality, Human Resources, Health and Safety, that will ensure a robust manufacturing environment
