Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Job Summary Performs repairs, preventative maintenance, operational functions and new work supporting the objectives of the Facilities Engineering Department at Prisma Health and documents work as required.

Requirements

Education - High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned
Experience - Two (2) years maintenance experience.
A valid driver’s license; an acceptable motor vehicle record, as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart; and proof of auto insurance.
Basic computer skills
Data entry skills

In lieu of education and experience requirements noted above, 2 year college degree (e.g., Trade School or Associate’s) with no experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Maintains physical items at Prisma property such as, ceilings, floors, walls, furniture, artwork, equipment, etc. Collaborates with team to address issues.
Performs maintenance repairs or installations while maintaining safety of self and others. Investigates delays, solves problems, and ensures timely completion of work.
Performs preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and documents as required.
Performs scheduled maintenance, complying with Joint Commission, DPH, and other codes/standards.
Responds to fire alarms and emergency codes at all facilities.
Inspects all outside lighting and reports problems promoting a safe environment.
Assists other maintenance mechanics and crafts as needed on repairs.
Performs work accurately and in a timely manner without close supervision. Documents work performed in an accurate and timely manner. Available for Call-Back in emergency situations. Observes all safety procedures and ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies.
Receives in-service training periodically on testing of emergency generators.
Performs other duties as assigned.
