The Manager Accounting will have the opportunity to gain broad perspectives of Digital, Technology, & Distribution at Caterpillar, interacting with individuals across the company on financial consolidation and analysis insights. In addition, this role will have the opportunity to develop tools in a fast-paced and innovative global organization. This role will encourage development of leadership skills, utilizing excellent communication, presentation and financial analysis skills, as well as being a liaison with other groups throughout the enterprise. In addition, this role will be heavily involved in implementing strategic finance initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree within Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
Managing People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.
Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Judgment and Decision Making: Knowledge of the decision-making process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximize organizational performance.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Responsibilities

Financial analysis and reporting including consolidation and communication of segment results
Coordinate monthly results, quarterly business review (QBR), quarterly and annual forecasting, which includes explanation of results to the segment Group CFO & Group President.
Liaison between Corporate Accounting as well as other segment CFO groups and the division business resource teams.
Supporting and leading the team through the Global Finance Services Strategy by providing creative solutions that challenge traditional methods and processes.
