About The Position

Position Summary : The Manager, Consumer Processing, is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and workflow within the Consumer Processing team, ensuring accurate and timely processing and funding of consumer loans. This role drives compliance, quality standards and operational efficiency while providing leadership and support to the team. The incumbent collaborates across departments and with external partners to deliver a seamless loan experience and actively contributes to organizational projects and system enhancements.

Requirements

  • Strong judgment, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize the workload.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Meridian Link and other web applications.
  • Ability to analyze consumer loan application documents according to guidelines.
  • Thorough knowledge of compliance and consumer lending guidelines.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new, more complex skills and display leadership abilities.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years’ consumer lending and/or loan processing experience in a Credit Union or financial institution.
  • 2+ years’ leadership or management experience required.
  • 1+ years’ experience with Home Equity loans, Mortgage Regulations, Appraisals and Title Work.
  • Strong Communication and Organizational skills required to work in fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train and manage the consumer loan processing team, ensuring quality of work and service expectations are met.
  • Oversee loan processing workflows to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and procedural efficiencies to enhance departmental performance and support organizational goals.
  • Monitor performance metrics and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and lending regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to deliver a seamless loan experience and assist with questions and problems.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service and experience for members and team members.
  • Responsible for supporting project development, system testing, and successful implementation of enhancements.
  • Prepare and provide reports as needed for senior management.
  • Provide timely updates to management on the performance of the team and the department.
  • Assist with inquiries and requests from internal and external auditors.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned for the continued growth and advancement of the Credit Union.
